The Derby Family Festival in Brief
No race on the planet is quite like The Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse. The Derby is for everyone, from racing royalty to racing rookie. We open our gates, arms and hearts to the world. In a way, everyone rides The Derby, being part of it, getting carried away and taking that feel good carnival spirit back home.
Day one is Ladies Day. A show of the finest finery. Expect heart thumping action and breath-taking style, as horses, jockeys and racegoers go all out for the thrill.
Day two is Derby Day. This year saw Desert Crown take the honours in the world’s greatest Flat race. Expect ups, downs and history in the making.
A spectacular, gleeful, celebratory day where people come together to join in racing’s most unforgettable carnival.

The thrill of the hill’ can only mean one thing - The Derby.
Children cheering, champagne popping, track pulsating. And what better way to celebrate the world’s greatest carnival than a spot in The Derby Family Festival.
The Derby Family Festival is a ticketed enclosure on The Hill. It will be in a new location for 2023, closer to the action on the racetrack. There will be plenty of family fun with the return of the Main Stage and a new food festival. Selected rides will be free within this enclosure.

By Metrobus Metrobus operates a 460,480,and 406F service which runs from Epsom Town Centre to Tattenham Corner Station. It is an easy way to reach the racecourse in just 3 stops. A dedicated shuttle bus could be running from Epsom Station, to Epsom Downs racecourse. For more information and check dates, visit www.goaheadlondon.com
By Train Epsom Station is connected by both South West trains and Southern trains. Connections from London Waterloo & London Victoria. Take a 10 minute taxi or bus ride from the station. Please note that during the Derby a shuttle bus service runs from Epsom Station. Tattenham Corner Station Approximately 1/2 mile walk to the racecourse Epsom Downs Station Approximately 1 mile walk to the racecourse. Plan your journey using Transport for London or National Rail.
By Car The racecourse is just a few minutes from Epsom Town Centre on the B290 Epsom Downs Road or alternatively just off junction 9 of the M25. During the racing season, AA signs will mark all major approach routes. If you are using satellite navigation, please key in the postcode: KT18 5LQ. Alternatively, you can use the AA Route Planner and select KT18 5LQ as the destination.
Visit Traffic England to view current and future traffic conditions on Motorways and major 'A' roads which can assist you in your travel plans to and from Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Yes, parking is available for The Derby Family Festival. A parking pass will be included with your ticket (1 per 4 tickets). No dogs are allowed at this festival and they are strongly discouraged anywhere on the Hill.
