The Surrey Food Festival 5th - 6th September 2020 Old Deer Park, Richmond

CORONAVIRUS Update

In light of the current pandemic and the increasing risks of infection by the coronavirus COVID-19, we have come to a number of decisions.
The Surrey Food Festival has now been postponed. We have been in discussions with the local authority and along with our amazing demonstrators and artists, have provisionally arranged for the festival to be held on September the 5th and 6th. at the same location. This amazing festival is known as the enduring festival for a reason, and that reason is now clear!

The enduring local food festival

This is where our 'The Local Food Festival' story started back in 2016. The gates will be opened at 10am for a thoroughly extravagant foodie sensual assault. Come early and stay late, this festival only comes around once a year and it's a fan favourite.

Local businesses will be showcasing an exquisite range of food & drink, traders will be demonstrating and selling their products in the Marketplace and there's even a Kids Zone to keep your little ones entertained whilst you indulge.

Now a crowd favourite the demonstration marquee will be back again this year and will be packed to the gunwales with live demos, tastings and talks taking place throughout both days of the festival. Entrance to the demo tent is included in the price of admission.

And if all that is not enough there will be a full lineup of musical acts performing on the main stage throughout the day.

With the continued pandemic and the ongoing situation, we have spent the last few days discussing options with our venues, chefs, vendors, bands and suppliers on how we proceed. And although we would love to be optimastic around our upcoming events we feel it is only right that a decision is made now.
In light of this we can now announce that along with this weekends The Surrey Food Festival, The Windsor Chilli Festival, The Middlesex Food Festival, The London Irish Beer Festival and The Spelthorne Beer Festival are all being postponed.

All other festivals remain unchanged.

If you already have tickets they will automatically be transferred to the new dates and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

More details and future dates can be found on our website.

We would just like to pass on huge congratulations to @eleanorfordfood for winning the 'Food and Drink Travel Book of the Year', 'Edward Stranford Stranford Travel Writing Award' last week for her latest book: Fire Islands.
We can not wait to see what evocative recipes and stories she is going to share with us at #TheSurreyFoodFestival & #TheMiddlesexFoodFestival during her stints in our demonstration tent.
