Lucy May Walker

Lucy May Walker is a folk-pop Singer/Songwriter with not just a story to tell, but
an emotion to convey. To a generation she is relatable, honest, and cut from the
same cloth as them. She has enjoyed numerous spotlights on national radio
including plays across the BBC network on Radio 2, 5Live and on Introducing.

Her debut album ‘Nothing Ever Stays the Same’ is set for release in March
2023, and covers themes of love, loss, and separation. It’s an anthem for anyone
who has experienced those emotions on the pathway to adulthood.

It all started when her debut EP ‘Heartbreak Songs’ received national attention
after a chance meeting with BBC Radio 2 host Jeremy Vine. The presenter
spotted her busking in London and invited Lucy onto his show to play two original
songs. Vine described Lucy as “just brilliant” on a show listened to by more than
7 million people.

Originally from Worcestershire, Lucy May has also been featured by Jo Whiley
on Radio 2 and played live for Scott Mills and Jamie Cullum on 5Live. She made
her first national TV appearance in 2019 on the Jeremy Vine On 5 show playing
her song ‘You’re Not Alone’.

In June 2020 she released the Bad Day EP after a successful Kickstarter
campaign which reached its target within 2 days. The title track ‘Bad Day’ has
now been streamed over 140k times.

The debut single from the forthcoming album, ‘The Hardest Goodbye’, was again
supported by BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine who in November 2022 invited Lucy
onto his show to talk about its subject matter, baby loss. During the hour-long
feature, Vine played the song twice describing it as “so beautiful, and so
powerful.” The song immediately went to number one on the iTunes
Singer/Songwriter chart.

Lucy May has sold out headline shows across the UK and has supported the
likes of Wet Wet Wet, Texas, Tony Hadley, Tom Speight, Nerina Pallot and Lucy
Spraggan. She has also played at festivals including Isle of Wight and The Big
Feastival.

Her music has been highlighted several times on the TV show Love Island and
has been placed on their Spotify playlists, alongside editorial playlists such as
Your Coffee Break and Very Nearly Nashville.
Lucy’s army of fans is growing, and 2023 is set to be a huge year for the London based songstress, with a headline tour recently announced alongside her debut
album
