Jenem
Born and bred in Manchester, Jenem moved to London in September 2019, with one simple aim: Smile at as many people as possible on the tube! Her music is a reflection of this with its themes of positivity, encouragement and nostalgia.
Combining mainstream pop, singer-songwriter and rap music as influences, Jenem creates catchy choruses with verses of lyrical wordplay. Last year her live setup transformed to incorporate keys and a drum pad alongside her previous setup of guitar and vocals, allowing her to capture both small and large audiences alike. 2019 saw a number of notable occasions; the release of her EP Skyline, a sold out Manchester release show, and a DIY London headline show just two months after moving to the city. 2020 will see her release a string of singles, perform at HMV, and embark on a 3 week UK and Europe tour. Most importantly though, 2020 will hopefully see a record number of commuters smiling on the tube!
