Salento Food & Wine sells selected food and wine products from small artisan producers in the heel of the boot of Italy – “The Salento”
Our products include award-winning unique wines from small wineries typically producing only 50,000 bottles per year, award-winning organic extra virgin olive oil, artisan-produced pasta made with ancient wheats like Senatore Cappelli and Grano Duro, pasta sauces, bruschetta, tapenade, vegetables like tomatoes (pomodori), courgette (zucchini) and sweet peppers (pepperoni) straight from the rich red soil of the Salento and preserved only in extra virgin olive oil, typical Salentino snacks like friselline, grisselli and tarallini as well as coffee from the best roasting house in Italy!
The Salento is an area that spurns the lure of mass production in favour of environmental sustainability, quality, and taste. All of our products are made using traditional non-invasive and sustainable methods using ingredients grown and harvested locally. Our producers sell their products to local people through small shops, agritourism outlets, and local restaurants. Most of the products are exclusively available to Salento Food & Wine as we work personally with each of the producers.
